A little bit about me..
G'day, my name is Nick and I'm based in Southern Tasmania, Granton. I founded HumeTech Support to offer everyday people and small businesses, reliable and jargon-free tech help that they can trust.
Previously, I have worked across the education department in Facility Attendant and Administration Roles as well as working at the Derwent Pipeline foundry for 4 years as a CNC machinist. I also ran a small business for a while doing welding and repairs on vehicles, trailers, etc.
Unfortunately I was struck with an auto-immune illness during my time at the Derwent Foundry, which made me shift my focus towards finding a career less impactful on my body. Being a lover of technology I decided to complete a couple of certifications in the IT field, so I could start freelancing and gain real-world IT experience.
Whether its setting up a home Wi-Fi network, replacing old parts in your PC, or helping someone navigate cloud backups, I take pride in offering clear, honest and friendly support. With the ultimate goal of helping local families and small businesses get the most out of their tech.
When I'm not troubleshooting, you'll find me hiking the Tassie bush, jamming on my guitar, or hanging out with my partner, daughter, rescue dogs, and farm animals on our rural property.
